Finding: * Deployables (skills and constructs that stay on the field for a set amount of time) do NOT have duration extended by normal attack hitlag. The duration is only affected by their own activation hitlag and single-player world pauses (menu, character death, etc). * Buffs, Auras, and Deployables do NOT have duration extended by other Elemental Burst animations. Significance: * Nothing new for hitlag extension. Verified that NA hitlag extension only applies to the character/enemy buffs/infusions, not the source of the effect. Field buffs/infusions like Bennet's Q and Chongyun's E do NOT stay on the field longer due to NA hitlag. Hitlag will extend the 2+ second buff duration from the last received buff tick, but this is negligible. * Possibly a footnote in Hitlag Extension that burst cutscene (Xiao) or activation hitlag (Xiangling) increases its own duration (or just delays duration start), but not of other, already-active buffs/deployables. Not sure if anything worthwhile will come from this ticket. Evidence: Timestamps are below (minute : second : frames/60). Yeah I can, although I'd want to redo the Xiao test for more accurate numbers. I think much of the extended duration came from animation/cutscene, not hitlag.

Xiao vs Cryo Regisvine redone (more NA spam, no charge attacks or plunges). Finding: Duration appears to be calculated from the frame the CD starts, which matches when the Tattoo lights up. Extended duration after the CD start is entirely due to hitlag, not remaining animation. Animation may only appear to extend duration because CD start is delayed. Finding: As previously documented, skill and normal attack hitlag will extend the duration of active character and hit enemy buffs/debuffs and elemental auras. However, this does not apply to active deployables (Xiangling's Guoba and Pyronado, Bennet's Passion Overload floor circle, Chongyun's Layered Frost floor circle, etc). After spawning, these entities will continue to act without pausing on normal attack hitlag. Hitlag during the spawning animation can delay the spawn, providing some cooldown downtime benefits, but the duration of the entity after spawning is unaffected, and the cooldown gains are mostly negligible. In the case of Bennet (A4 & C6) and Chongyun, hitlag will only extend the duration of the most recently refreshed 2s buff/infusion (2-3s for Chongyun with talent levels), resulting in negligible benefit from hitlag. The floor circle supplying the buff/infusion will disappear after the set duration regardless of hitlag. In the case of Xiangling, her elemental burst performs a 3 hit melee hits while spawning the Pyronado entity. However, the skill's cooldown starts after the 1st hit, so its hitlag has no additional benefit. The Pyronado entity spawns after the 2nd hit, so this hitlag delays the spawn, effectively reducing the cooldown by 6 or 7 frames (0.100s - 0.117s). But now, the Pyronado entity has already spawned, so the 3rd hit's hitlag also has no benefit for the Pyronado. Thus, hitlag has negligible benefit, if any, for deployables and short-term buffs supplied by deployables. Significance: Hitlag extension should be ignored when theorycrafting deployables' and Bennet's/Chongyun's buff/infusion uptime.
