Yes, let me finish waking up and I'll do it XD

Theory: crystals and nautilus shell ores have different loot table
Evidence:

when chasm was out and i farmed some crystal there i tought that the rates were a bit higher than usual but i just ignore it.
Today with the event i mined a crystal ore and it gave me 4 chunk which... that's impossible as far test and datamined file say

so i asked MCPie if he knew something about it and he said exacly what i knew... that's impossible. So i mined out pratically all chasm today and record most of it and some particular events happened:
all white iron and iron ore dropped normal amount of chunk (low data tho)
-only 8 time a crystal ore dropped one chunk (out of 56+12) (base drop rate 90%)
-8 of 8 which were ores that didn't gave the light bulb
-two noutilous shell ore dropped 4 chunk each
-2 of 2 which gave the light bulbs

(surpassed daily upload video limit on YT I'll post it tommorow and change from drive to YT, sorry for the incovenience)

so my theory is that there are "special" nautilus shell and crystal ore on chasm with different loot table:
-this two types have light bulbs
-they drop one extra "chunk"

Conclusion:
the Video is not enough to provide evidence that it's exacly one more or that is possible only on "special ore" or is a chasm propriety.
But i think it's enough to say the drop rates are boosted and to start a research on it.
I honestly don't care about credit or anything like that, if someone can make a better theory and collect better the data fell free to take over

Significance:
Chasm might became a better way to farm crystals, having better rates for some of them, means they have more importance to farm as much as possible in less time possible (farming routes)
Also there us a chance that when a new zone or new "special drop" are added on some ores in a specified zone (those light bulb on chasm) we should accurately research on the rates before assuming they are exactly like the others

It wasn't i mined the ores one at time, i was just really busy and I hadn't time to go mining. The drop are way too close to one extra to not being a case

ok, i did a round two, unfortunately i messed up the recording and half of them got lost (obviously those are not included on the data)

out of 102 crystal that give the the ligfht bulb, lt's call it Chasm crystal or CrystalB,
out of 102: 0 times got 1 chunk, 82 got 2 chunks, 20 got 3 chunks, 0 times got 4 chunks
considering the chance respectively of 81%,18%, 1% and 0%:
chance of getting those result are: 0%,0%,0%,100%
considering the chance respectively of 0%, 81%,18% and 1%:
chance of getting those result are: 100%, 9.79%, 9.08 %, 35.87%
considering that it get one more to a max of 3 (0%, 81%,19%,0%):
chance of getting those result are: 100%, 9.79%, 9.79 %, 100%

if i didn't messed up my calcs, i would say, chasm special ore, recognizable by a blue aurea and they give recharges for the torch, have a different drop rate from the normal ones:
the data is still not enought to determinate if:
-drop are the same, but with one more drop, meaning the chance of getting respectively 2,3,4 chunks are 81%,18% and 1%
-drop have one more chunk, but with a maximum of 3 chunks, meaning the chance of getting respectively 2, 3 chunks are 81% and 19%

i'll check the math again in case i messed up something, cause 10% of getting drop pretty close to the expected being just 10% is strange XD

EDIT: nvm, it does make total sense, like if you throu a coin 5 times and get it 3 times the chance is 10* (1/2)^5=5/16~1/3 while 3 is pretty close to the expected 2.5
so the chance of getting x-1, x and x+1 times (giving it a bit of leadway)
with the 2 theories are:
-100%, 28.80%, 26.82%, 72.84%
-100%, 28.80%, 28.80%, 100%
the number are pretty close to each others, so i can't predict which is it yet

now i can offial say that they have exacly one more drop than the common ones

btw the chunks of today are still not on the sheet, when i'll finish mining I'll update it

living outside Noutilous sheel ores because there are not enough on chasm to have enough data to determinate anything precisely, Chasm offer some special ores that can be easily being identified by a blue aura around them and when destroyed liberating some light bulbs that are used to recharce the Chasm torch.

on 3 trip (with missing footage unfortunately, so only the ones that has been recorded could be inserted as data), i mined 164 chasm crystal ore (CrystalB on the sheet) and 33 normal one (just crystal)
of this 128, 35 and 1 dropped rispectively 2,3 and for chunks
this evidentely means that this special ores are dropping more that what normal ones should, but how much exacly?
it's seems that they are dropping 0% 1 chunk (normally 81%), 78% 2 chunks (18% normally), 21% 3 chunks (1% normally) and 1% 4 chunks (impossible normally)

so compared to the normal but shifted by one drop they are 78%-21%-1% compared to 81%-18%-1%. because there is not much data 1 would say there is high chance that the drops are exacly one more. but it need way more data to conclude for certain

the two other teory had to be rufused, this are what they are and why:
"the drop is nomal, i just got way lucky"
evidence: 4 chunks has been dropped an 0 times has been dropped only one chunk out of 164 tries with a chance of 81% that's 0.19^164 chance (let's be a bit gentle and say it's 1/5 instead the chance its' around of 115 decimal digit!!)
as for the teory "it drop one more, but there is a max of 3 like the normal ones"
evidence: 4 chunks drop happened, while as for number say, they are extremely close as chances go, so it was hard to conclude what what was between the two

conclusion: chasm speacil ore are not just simply different texture with some light bulb added on their drop, but actually have more chance of getting more chunks too

thsi means that interactive genshin maps and mining routes need to be revisited taking this in consideration (and the wiki too need to add this)

@raismin if you'd like I can "rewrite" the writeup because there are a few typos

Finding: The Chasm offers some special ores that can be easily identified by a blue aura around them. These ores drop extra chunks when broken.

On 3 mining trips (unfortunately, some footage is missing—only trips that had footage were recorded in the sheet), I mined 164 Chasm crystal ore (CrystalB on the sheet) and 33 normal ore (just crystal).

Of these, 128, 35 and 1 dropped 2, 3, and 4 chunks respectively. This evidence means that these special ores are dropping more chunks than what normal ones should. It seems that the drop rates are 0% for 1 chunk (normally 81%), 78% for 2 chunks (normally 18%), 21% for 3 chunks (normally 1%), and 1% for 4 chunks (normally impossible).

When these drop rates are shifted by 1 drop then compared to normal drop rates, they are 78%-21%-1% compared to 81%-18%-1%.

There are 3 theories that explain this behavior—but only one is actually possible.

1. "The drops are normal—I just got really lucky"
This is impossible because 4 chunks can't drop from a single ore. Hence, the drop table must have been modified for the special Chasm ore.

2. "Each special ore drops one extra chunk, but each ore can only drop 3 chunks maximum"
This is impossible because 4 chunks can drop from a single ore.

3. "Each special ore drops one extra chunk"
This is the most likely theory, but more data should be recorded to be sure.

Note that there is not enough data to draw any conclusions about special Noctilucous Jade ore.

Significance: Special ore from The Chasm don't just look different, they also have a different drop table. This means that interactive Genshin maps and mining routes need to be revisited after taking this in consideration (and the wiki also needs to add this).
