Finding
Elemental conversions are inconsistent in their visual properties when viewed in elemental sight.
Alhaitham is a strange case where both his converted AND non-converted dual sword keeps its texture in elemental sight.
Ayato/Noelle/Childe/Hutao/Raiden are cases where upon conversion, their weapon keeps it's new texture inside of elemental sight. Raiden is a peculiar one in terms of wording, as she is the only character whose talent description includes the mentioning of "infused" while it is in fact a conversion and not an infusion.
There are many character who do NOT gain a colored/visually changed weapon viewable in elemental sight after conversion, but Itto sticks out as a strange case.
Itto is the sole character (that I could find) whose entire weapon changes, but the new weapon does NOT keep it's texture when viewed in elemental sight. You can see this in the video, as in elemental sight his weapon texture goes a dull brown rather than the bright orange that is visible outside of elemental sight (while the previously named characters who create new weapons all keep their textures and color).

infusion shows up but not conversion

ayato, whose also shows up as hydro. Perhaps the conversion shows up if it uses a different weapon. Like in the case of ayato/itto
Raiden's should also show up as electro if that's the case, let me check.

Yep raiden's does.
So it must just be relegated to cases where the characters active visual weapon changes
So interestingly enough, with mirrors, al haithams dual sword DOES light up with infusion under elemental sight, but does not with no mirrors

the colors youre seeing with conversions are just the special effect colors
they dont have elements applied to the weapon like infusions
its like how zhongli's spears in his NA show up as yellow

As a comparison, I included clips of Bennett infusion on Hu Tao while in PP state, and Keqing infusion color compare to Raiden
So in conclusion, Conversion is NOT Infusion, the color that show up on elemental sight is simply visual effects, it's mistakable because the effects has similiar color to that character's element

Was originally to note the inconsistency within conversions, how some show up on elemental sight and others don’t. But if it’s purely vfx, then I suppose that makes sense
