Findings:
Throw:
- Keqing's stiletto is thrown just under 3.5 tiles away horizontally, for both press and hold.
- Aiming vertically does not appear to change how far horizontally the stiletto travels.
- Short hold can aim stiletto horizontally, this retains the properties of press skill.
- Press skill attempts to stick the stiletto to the floor if slope is not too great
- The stiletto can be placed through some surfaces sometimes.
Teleport:
- Hold skill teleports just under 3 tiles (~2.8?)
- Horizontal range is independent of vertical travel distance, however vertical range is dependent on the horizontal distance travelled
- Press skill teleports about 6 tiles maximum
- Press skill keeps Keqing on the ground
- Hold skill results in a slight fall after the teleport, even if aimed at the ground

Evidence:
https://youtu.be/9qy8QiOuLRk (skill throws)
https://youtu.be/2scJEJPepPQ (skill teleports)
https://youtu.be/bH6_yyOy4cQ (short hold interactions)

Significance:
- Tap/short hold skill likely are better for most gameplay
- Better understanding of Keqing skill mechanics
I'll need to record some stuff with overworld interactions tomorrow I think :yaehmm:
But I was surprised this wasn't in the tcl

This wasn't in the TCL because when I made that big keqing ticket with many of her mechanics I decided that I wasn't going to count tiles :ohno:

These specific mechanics appear to be consistent between 30 and 60 fps but at 45 there's a chance that sometimes the throw goes 4 tiles instead

the briefly hold is in tcl though
also unlike other skills that send you airborne, Keqing's skill does not allow you to do plunge attack if she does not gain enough height

:hmm: how do I word it then
Press keeps you on the ground always, you can attack immediately afterwards, while hold has you in a falling animation for a bit first
Even if you throw hold E straight into the floor

Keqing’s press skill always moves the player horizontally along ground-level and allows the player to immediately attack after the skill animation ends, whereas Keqing’s hold skill always leaves the player in a short falling animation before they are able to attack, regardless of where her stiletto was aimed.
perhaps like that?
i just basically said what you said but with more steps :keqshrug:
