Worth noting in the clip that Xiangling gets healed by Bennett burst (early enough that she’d snapshot if the buff was applied too), but does not get the pyro element applied at the same time - since they’re both 1s afaik, it’s strange they didn’t apply at the same time

Pyronado Alt Swap Bennett Buff Snapshot:

- Have access to a device which can screenrecord
- Able to run Genshin at <100 ping

Details:
- Record as many trials as you are able/willing of using Bennett’s burst, waiting a few seconds and/or swapping around a few characters, and then alt swapping (on mobile this is pressing the lit up burst icon) to xiangling
- For each trial note if Xiangling did or did not snapshot Bennett’s buff, as well as your ping and FPS (as determined by game settings, but please use settings your computer can support)

according to bennet tcl the ult ticks are perfectly aligned w bennys own cooldown, so it ticks 14.0 -> 13.0 -> 12.0 etc
bennys last ult tick w him on field should be somewhere between 238f-244f

fps is 60f but q cd is still 13.1s at 299f
so the next tick should theoretically be somewhere inbetween 300f-304f (306f?)
xl swaps in at 300f and q input registers at 304f

with xl snapshotting late into her animation this would only rlly be explained if benny ult ticks at 298f-300f and xl has to wait another sec for it to tick on her no?

seeing as pyro is applied to her at 259f imo it seems the progression of events went smth like;
benny ult ticks on him at 298f-300f -> xl swaps in on 300f -> spends 50f to 55f in ult animation -> benny ult ticks on her at 359f

why isnt there anything in tcl on how many frames into her ult xl snapshots

is it me or is the ult tick recording in tcl 30fps not 60

so cant say what frame exactly ult ticks during the 13.0, 12.0, 11.0s, etc times
but it does appear to heal and apply pyro at at the same time

u can try timing ur swap to around the 13.1-12.9s, 12.1-11.9s etc marks on benny cd, to see if this can be replicated when (if?) ult ticks 1-3f before swap and 50-59f into ult animation)

If we aren't finding the exact snapshot timing on XL's pyronado, what's the point of this ticket?
Finding: XL's snapshot timing is less than 60f.
Significance: Yeah you can fuck up bennett Q -> XL Q sometimes. How often? IDK

As a side note, currently gcsim has XL's pyronado snapshotting 56f after cast, which means that with hitlag on the first two hits, it should always snapshot bennett burst on the actual pyronado.

Perhaps we need to reduce it a little

if the first two hitmarks are the same swing hitting twice, this would mean she snapshots between 1st and 2nd swing, which we know isnt the case

Macros generally aren't frame perfect unless it's hooking into the game, they can be off by a frame or two

Also macros doesn't really fix ping issues

Tests to see if Xiangling snapshots,This blessing made it annoying against doggos so I went to 12-2-1
Put Xiangling at 94 cr with the catch to get 100 CR,First card was +20 atk
ALT 4 to Bennet burst,Second was +20 burst damage
Wait a certain amount of time
ALT 3 to Xiangling ,dropbox link...

Found a lot of success if I could avoid damage and toss it out at 13.1 for the input from the countdown of bennet burst

Intentionally. I did a few in 12-1-1 but making sure the rifthounds wouldn’t hit you along with the timing was wild. Going into 12-2-1 I knew basically what to do, but was able to intentionally get 2 failures in a row.

It depends on what I am doing but in stuff like nymph domain my setup sometimes times right and I don't get the buff

But like in emblem domain I never saw it happen so it heavily depends on the setup

Does this happen more often at higher ping?

This may have happened to me on mobile, come to think of it. I always use the alt swap feature on mobile and I've had cases where my burst did much less damage than possible

Maybe it has something to do with Bennett's burst buff app rate. Since he buffs every 60f and Xiangling snapshots it between 33-56f. High ping could cause issues

if you are counting frames till the bennet pyro tick, what part do you start counting from? The alt swap has XL take field, start burst animation, burst starts counting down, burst icon goes grey, but where would you start counting frames from?

I think it’s just finding what frame Xiangling snapshots on. The lowest frame I got on the non snapshots was 43 frames but I was only able to get it that close once.

My results turn up mixed. I have added all that she did snapshot in another sheet to the one that was already shared. The lowest frame that she did not snapshot counting from when she pulls out her weapon and the icon changes to when she has pyro on her is 43 frames, the highest of frames that she did snapshot on the same timeline is 46 frames. As these overlap, the answer is somewhere in the middle.

In 130ish attempts I could intentionally get it to happen 60 times. If you ignore the single lowest and highest from my runs then non snapshot is closer to 45-46 territory and did snap is 44-45

I can cut the vids down to just the ones that hit the frames that I talked about in my comment but other than that I don’t have much more to add

I assume part of my variance is using shadowplay and the inconsistency of recording and gaming on the same system.

4 snapped at 45 frames in. One snapped at 46.

On the did not snap, one was at 43, two at 45, six at 46

So somewhere right around frame 45 is when she snapshots

Starting count from when her weapon appears/burst icon changes

So here is earliest ones that did snapshot and the latest ones that did not snapshot if someone wants to check the frames themselves to verify

it is in decreasing order of time from when the burst icon changes and weapon is drawn and if you want I can put it on dropbox instead of youtube compression

I don’t have much more to add. I have the clips down to those that did snap right before and those that didn’t right after the pyro application. I have the data from all of my runs with the number of frames for each. There is overlap of some of the counts which is why I made the second video so someone else can check my work. It seems that at 45 frames from burst icon changing and weapon being shown it is a coin flip in my data on if it snapshots or not.
