The boss has 6 different attacks that could potentially change the hitbox of the horns
thus allowing some attacks that couldnt work before now work

so a hydro attack needs to be tested against all attacks
So i pray to god that it gives all 6 attacks
there is also standing still and digging for new horns
only 4th attack from barbara's NA sequence seems to hit the horns reliably

xingqiu can always hit the horns with his E once, can double hit the horns when the crab lands and standing at a specific spot, his Q can hit the horns most of the time
hydro mc is really jank and very annoying to use to hit the horns, suffers from icd problems as well

so far as I can tell, childe melee stance change can hit the crab at the start and his first melee hit can as well, his melee autos/charged attacks can hit the crab when he lands after the jump attack
and his burst can hit when the crab lands

if you look at my childe vid around 0:12-0:14 mark the shield drops from the mQ and then drops further from the riptide blast

yelan c2 spawns an extra arrow which is guessed it works the same as her burst's

You start by attacking the crab when its doing nothing. cause if you can dmg the shield then, you should always be able to hit it
if it doesnt then you start trying during attacking animations (try against all animations)
and if it doesnt work then you start using geo constructs if you believe its a height problem

The theory is that not all hydro attacks work on the crab boss of iron and fire and also to find which characters are good and which are bad

In conlusion:
mona and koko are the best cause their totems can deal reliable damage along with CA spam
Xingqiu is ok
barbara kinda struggles cause her skill is difficult to hit with and CA spam can consume a lot of stamina
Childe, ayato, Candace are the only ones that work they way hoyo wanted them to with boss
then we have the problem children.
nilou e works normally. her burst doesn't
yelan's main part of dealing dmg (skill and burst) doesn't work. so you have to resort to aimed shots to break the shield
HMCis an abomination. their hold skill is ranged based. it has an auto targeting which aims at the centre of the boss which is way below the horns
which means it wont hit UNLESS you are up close and looking up at the horns in which the arc will hit the horns
and the burst doesn't work 99% of the time. the 1% was during our testing we DID do damage when the crab digs in a hole to make a nuke
we tried recreating it but it was inconsistent and difficult to replicate.

sheet says candace's c6 hit, but i don't find it in the vid either
