Finding: The same CA cancelling that enables 14/15 (c0/c1) CA's in non-hydro buffed Wanderer E state also enables extended strings in other combos such as n2c spam.
Evidence: Previously at c1 10% attack speed, the max n2c combo was thought to be 6n2c n2, but utilizing the same mechanic that enables CA spam, 7n2c can be reached.
7n2c (c1, 10% attack speed) with precise inputs to cancel CA:

Replicated below for consistency and to show that it was not a one off glitch:

6n2c n2 (c1, 10% attack speed) with no precise inputs, just spamming to prequeue n2 as the CA is going:

Proof that this is replicable and not pseudorandom/does not require macro:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTLF-eUhSCw
Timing (or semi timing WHEN you start spamming attack input after ca) seems to much more consistently yield 6n2c Q (with Q actually happening within the E duration) at c0.
Most other examples I can find have the last CA simply extending the E window (thus not allowing Q out of the last CA). This further places some merit in the hypothesis that timing your attack inputs to line up with a specific point in the CA animation rather than just trying to prebuffer inputs as soon as possible yields a faster/more consistent attack string.
Note this video from @121687365474451457 is c0, 0% attack speed.

Significance: Wanderer's CA seems to have a special property that allows a precise input cancel to even further cancel it's animation past just prequeueing an attack. This leads to extended string such as 7n2c (with c1) or 6n2cq (at c0 with Q happening within the E duration, thus gaining any infusion properties) being possible, while also explaining how his CA spam is able to reach 14/15 (c0/c1 respectively).

Some additional findings from Aftermath, who tested semi-timing n2 instead of just spamming at c0.

Would recording keypresses be plausible for this
MercuryMon, December 26, 2022 at 10:39 AM
I tried to get this to work (for different purposes) but I couldn't:
OBS combined with Input Overlay https://github.com/univrsal/input-overlay
It would record keypresses correctly when using Windows but not when I was inside a Windowed instance of Genshin.
Also, it may not be frame-perfect https://github.com/univrsal/input-overlay/issues/185

i can re-record with key presses, although there's always some input lag for me, so it usually isn't that helpful tbh
aftermathrarMon, December 26, 2022 at 11:01 AM
run the input overlay program as admin, then it should show up. that works with NohBoard, at least

I canโt record inputs as Iโm recording on ps5, but I will do some quick frame counts on some new videos I took. Actually timing the n2 versus spamming the whole combo out is still yielding 7n2c over 6n2c n2. From a look it looks like spamming simply doesnโt cancel the CA animation fast enough, but Iโll update shortly with frame count.
Iโd welcome those with c1 to test if they can get 7n2c with timing over just spamming.

It's looking like 52 frames (counting from frame before ca is visble to first frame n1 is visible) when timed correctly. 59-60 frames when spamming. The tiny bit of leeway over 6 strings lets you get in an extra CA right at the end (due to CA having the property of extending E duration)

This was used as 7n2c count

There seems to be a high variance in actual frame count, but when one is able to consistently get multiple 52-53 frame ca to n1, there is room for the 7th ca.
For the 7n2c video counts are: 52, 58, 52, 53, 55, 54. 324
6n2c n2: 55, 59, 52, 57, 56, 53. 332
An 8 frame margin (potentially even less) caused the loss of a CA.
6n2c n2: 55, 59, 52, 57, 56, 53. 332
An 8 frame margin (potentially even less) caused the loss of a CA.
I'll count to see if the n2's are the same speed. Might be something to do with overbuffering causing n2 to come out late
Nope, all the n2's come out with an average of 18 frames between when n1 is visible and when n2 is visible, so it's def the CA->n1 being slower.

To add on if anyone is interested in the "correct timing". It's right when you see scara raise his hand during his CA. I'm able to consistently get 7n2c with precise inputs based on that moment.

I can verify this if my question is out of ticket scope, but as far as I can tell you never clarify when this precise input should be
you can ping me in #763610791839924224 or wherever to respond and I do agree it is clearly possible to do and imo thatโs enough for a ticket, Iโm just wondering if we know when bc if we do Iโd like to see it included

actually tbh Iโll just verify and then if it is known and you want to edit it in I can reverify
